Recently a change in pool rules concerning rest breaks/adult swim was implemented by Metropolitan Pools, the management company hired by the Westwood Farms Trustees.
This rule change was made with the safety of you and your guests in mind, however, it did prohibit residents/guests ages 18 and over from entering the pool during break times. Quick communication and on-site evaluation by the Trustees, Pool/Clubhouse Manager, Metropolitan Pools (Pool Management Team), and the overwhelming response of the residents has lead to a revision of the rule change. Effective immediately, all residents/guests ages 18 and over (including supervised infants) are once again permitted to swim in the pool during scheduled rest breaks. While we appreciate your understanding in this matter, we want to reiterate to all residents that Metropolitan Pools and the lifeguards staffing our pool are there to provide a safe and enjoyable atmosphere for all residents and guests. Ultimately, the lifeguards and Metropolitan Pools' staff are in charge and their decisions and discretion in the management of our pool facilities are critical to maintaining the safe and enjoyable environment for all residents/guests. We ask that all residents/guests continue to adhere to the pool rules and the lifeguards' enforcement of those rules accordingly. For your reference, the Westwood Farms Pool Rules were included in the 2010 pool passes or are on line at the WestwoodFarms.org website. Any issues, comments, and/or suggestions should be communicated to Metropolitan Pools, the Pool/Clubhouse Manager or the Hotline and will be reviewed/resolved in a timely manner. We appreciate your support, understanding, and cooperation so that we can continue to enjoy a safe pool environment over the remaining summer months! |
